Law Enforcement Helicopters Converge on Rose Bowl for Emergency Preparedness Training

Dozens of law enforcement helicopters converged on the Rose Bowl Stadium on Wednesday for an emergency preparedness fly-in training exercise. The exercise, which was hosted by the Pasadena Police Department, involved helicopters from agencies as far away as San Diego, Ventura, and Riverside. The Rose Bowl is designated as a staging area for a large disaster or mass casualty situation. Coordinated landing and takeoff procedures were a key component of the annual disaster response exercise and fly-in.   Click here to read more

The City of Pasadena’s Chief of Police recently released a critical incident video of the active shooter and murder incident on November 23, 2021 in the area of Orange Grove Blvd. and Sunny Slope Ave. This critical incident video displays the heroic actions of numerous Pasadena police officers who engaged the suspect in a prolonged gun battle taking place over several blocks. **Originally Posted TUESDAY, 06 MARCH 2018On March 5, at about 10:07 p.m. SES officers were on routine patrol near Arroyo and Washington Blvd when they observed a motorists commit several minor vehicle code violations. SES officers initiated an enforcement stop and contacted the driver. During the subsequent investigation, SES officers located & recovered two loaded firearms. The driver was arrested without incident and transported to the Pasadena jail. The firearms were rendered safe and booked as evidence. Our investigation is ongoing.
